Eternal Decks (“PGC Presents” Title)

UPDATE 02/25/2025:

As we are not the publisher of this edition of Eternal Decks we think it’s important to inform our customers of the following. It has come to our attention that a very small amount of copies may have some issues related to wear on the external game box and/or the internal plastic insert. Reports indicate it is limited to dings along the corner of the box or a crack in the plastic insert that separates the cards from the wooden pieces. This will have no impact on the actual gameplay as there are currently no reports of any components being damaged or missing.

The publisher of this edition, TRICKTAKERs Games, has advised on BGG/Kickstarter that there are no replacement options for this small pressing of copies. Thank you for your understanding and apologies for any inconvenience.

Eternal Decks is a part of the "PGC Presents" line, a curated selection of games which are harder to find, recommended by us, or are the releases of a fellow independent publishing company or designer that we respect. "PGC Presents" is a project to help boost the signal of other creators that we love to support and think others might as well.

Eternal Decks is a release from Japanese publisher, Tricktakers Games and Designer Hiroken (Tricktakers). Portland Game Collective has nothing to do with the release or production of this edition of the game. We stock this game in an effort to help a fellow indie game company, Tricktakers Games, get their releases to a wider audience.

***This is a copy of Hiroken’s independently crowdfunded edition of the game. We at Portland Game Collective helped with development work on the game, but had nothing to do with its manufacturing. We have officially signed Eternal Decks and will release our official PGC edition, estimated in Q3-Q4 of 2025.

Description from Boardgamegeek:

Eternal Decks is a fully cooperative game where players are trying to complete the stage objectives before any one player cannot take an action. Players start the game with 5 cards in their deck, but will quickly look to acquire more cards from the various Eternals (characters within the game) who each have their own unique 8 card deck.

On your turn, you must perform one action:
-Play a card (to the field or river or to use an ability)
-Generate a jewel
-Give a card to a teammate

There are restrictions when playing a card. All 3 rows in the field cannot have cards of the same color or same number next to each other. Additional restrictions are applied to a row based on the stage you are playing. Jewels are used to negate the negative effects brought on by the Eternals.

There are 6 stages currently in the game. The various stages will have you collect points, survive a ghost town, navigate a labyrinth, defeat a boss, and more to win the game!

KICKSTARTER EDITION: This includes the base game, 24 holographic cards for the Eternals (these replace those in the game), and a free Kickstarter limited edition pouch,.
